About the Fund:
The Rainbow Refuge Program (LGBTQ+ Newcomers Group Edmonton) helps LGBTQ+ newcomers reduce social isolation and build a community for themselves. Additionally, the group supports newcomers in learning about life in Canada, health, wellbeing, and various other topics.
The Rainbow Refuge Program aims to provide opportunities for regular social interactions, build community confidence, and create positive memories. It quickly identifies and addresses issues as they arise, provides local and relevant information, and helps participants navigate and become comfortable in their LGBTQ+ identities within the greater local community.
